Kali Salts: Kali-sulph, Kali-bro, Kali-ars

The Kali’s in general are moralistic, rule-bound, dutiful, and dependent on the family.  They are characterized by an easy suppression of feelings, deep feelings and intense physical pathology.  They are very attached to the family, to the family pets, to certain ideals. 

Kali-sulph: Sycotic miasm

            The Sulphur mediates the Kali and the Kali rigidifies the Sulphur.  It can look like Pulsatilla because of the timidity aspect that is not a part of either the Kali or the Sulph.  There is a great need for appreciation; they have strong feelings about their own area of expertise.  They are industrious when life is going well; but if not, they can appear lazy.  If they feel insulted or abused by family members, they will become harsh, whiny, irritable.  They can sound harsh, whiny and irritable with their practitioner about the lack of appreciation they feel from family.  They are dutiful out of a need for appreciation.  Their fears are burglars and things hurting the family.  They are hot and the most selfish of the Kali’s.  Their timidity is from holding back so others will like them.

            Big arthritis remedy:  joint pain, worse hot and worse evening; better iced and cold.  Cold hands and feet (opp of Sulph).  Big childhood ear infection remedy; thick discharges, glue ear.  Chronic sinus infections with thick green/yellow discharges.

Kali-bro

            The essence of Bromium is someone is out to get me so in Kali-bro the delusion is fear of betrayal by the family.  They are highly suspicious, delusion will go to Hell.  They feel singled out by Divine Wrath; forsaken by God so they need to perform their duty to avoid being forsaken.  Betrayal theme in the Aurums, Cuprums and Kalis.  Highly religious.  End stage can become violent as a result of their delusions.  Restlessness of hands; hand-wringing.  Prays a lot for God’s protection.  Delusion committed crime.  Fear of being poisoned is a KEYNOTE.   Mental restlessness and anxiety, can go into a paranoid rage and violence.  Nightmares of being deceived and of betrayal.

            Pathologically, mostly neurological disorders such as epilepsy, meningitis and ALS.  Nerve conditions, seizures and numbness.  Deep, scaring cystic acne.

Kali-ars

            Kali has suppression of emotion with intense pathology; Ars has intense anxiety about health.  This salt has very strong fear and anxiety about heart disease and panic about their heart.  Mucous is watery and acrid; sinus infections with watery, burning mucous.  There is intense dependence on the family:  “my family is the only thing keeping the wolf away from the door”.  Very fastidious about the home fro the purpose of staying safe.  There is the dependence on self to keep the home perfect.  Fastidious cleanliness.  Chilly remedy.

            Waking at Kali times:  2 to 4 AM with palpitations and terrible anxiety, needs to go to ER to get worked up.  Kali typically suppresses emotion all day such that the symptoms surface at night with a full-blown panic.

            Fear of cancer also, but heart disease is the worse fear; certainty about having a heart attack, the only question is when.
